Coconut spiced up orange milk

Are you up for trying a new thing? Maybe you like it, maybe you don’t.. But I tried this mixture a few weeks ago, and I have to say.. I like it a lot. Orange works perfectly with coconut, it’s a bit weird at first (since orange juice is heated all of a sudden), but nice. Combined with a good stash of spices and your late evening drink in ready. If you’re that big of a fan of spices, leave the cayenne and nutmeg out. Let me know what you think 😋. What’s your favourite hot drink?

Ingredients:Download it fromwww.revitalizedchickpea.com (1).png
– 300 ml coconut milk (I used Alpro)
– juice of 1 orange
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tsp maple syrup
– 1/4 tsp vanilla powder
– 1/4 tsp cardamon
– 1/4 tsp ginger
– 1/4 tsp turmeric
– pinch of cayenne (optional)
– pinch of nutmeg (optional)

extra needed: saucepan, whisk, measuring cup and spoons
serves: 1 person

Directions:
Heat the milk mixed with the orange juice and spices over medium heat. Taste in-between to see if you want to add more maple syrup for sweetness or more cayenne for that extra ‘kick’. Keep stirring with a whisk until the milk reaches its boiling point. Pour in a large tea mug and serve immediately.
